Effective date: 2026-05-15 · Version 2.0
«MedBridge», «we» and «us» refer to «MedBridge» [legal form & registration number to be added before launch], registered office 13 Khanjyan str., Yerevan, Armenia. «You», «Applicant» or «Participant» refers to the natural person who submits the application or is accepted into the Programme. «Astghik» means Astghik Medical Center, the hospital partner where the Programme takes place. «Programme» means the international medical observership organised by MedBridge at Astghik.
By ticking the «I have read and agree to the Terms of Service» checkbox on the application form, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Mere browsing of the site does not, by itself, create a contractual relationship.
Submitting the application form does not, by itself, create a contract for the provision of the Programme. Acceptance into the Programme is at MedBridge's and Astghik's sole discretion. A binding contract is formed only when all of the following have occurred:
The Programme is primarily observational. You are not licensed to practise medicine in Armenia and you shall not provide patient treatment, diagnoses or unsupervised clinical care. Supervised hands-on exposure may be offered to qualified advanced participants, subject to specialty, hospital approval and Armenian law.
You must at all times follow the hospital regulations, sterile-field protocols, infection-control rules and the instructions of supervising physicians. Hospital regulations will be provided with your acceptance letter and you must acknowledge them before arrival.
The Programme fee is set out in your acceptance letter and is payable in US dollars by bank transfer (or another method we expressly accept in writing). Bank charges and intermediary fees are borne by you. Local taxes, if any, are added in accordance with Armenian law.
Refunds are made in the original payment currency, by bank transfer, within 30 days of the cancellation being confirmed. Exchange-rate fluctuations and intermediary bank charges are not reimbursed.
If MedBridge cancels the Programme for any reason within its control, you receive a full refund of the Programme fee. We are not liable for additional costs you may have incurred (such as flights or accommodation booked independently); we strongly recommend refundable bookings and travel insurance.
If you are a consumer habitually resident in the European Union or the European Economic Area, you may have a 14-day right of withdrawal under Directive 2011/83/EU. If you ask us to start performing the contract during that 14-day period, you acknowledge that you will be required to pay an amount proportionate to the services already provided up to the point of withdrawal.
Neither party is liable for failure to perform when the failure is caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of war, hostilities, civil unrest, terrorism, earthquake, fire, flood, epidemic or pandemic, governmental orders, border closures, strikes affecting transport, or failures of essential public infrastructure. If a force majeure event prevents the Programme from taking place, MedBridge will, at its option, reschedule the Programme or refund the Programme fee in full. Force majeure does not relieve you of any payment obligation that has already fallen due.
You must maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information observed during the Programme, in compliance with Armenian law and accepted medical ethics. Photography, audio recording or video recording of patients, staff or clinical areas is strictly prohibited without prior written authorisation from Astghik. Breach of confidentiality is grounds for immediate termination of your participation, without refund, and may result in legal action.
MedBridge may suspend or terminate your participation, with immediate effect and without refund, if you:
Unless you opt in by separate written consent, MedBridge will not use your photograph, name or likeness in marketing materials. Where you do consent, you grant MedBridge a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use the agreed images for the agreed purposes; you may withdraw consent for future use at any time by emailing info@medbridge.am.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MedBridge and Astghik Medical Center, their officers, employees and partners, against any third-party claims, damages, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your breach of hospital regulations or confidentiality obligations, or (c) your wilful misconduct or gross negligence during the Programme. This clause survives termination of these Terms.
All content on medbridge.am — including text, images, logos and Programme materials — is the property of MedBridge or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property law. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works of any of this content for commercial purposes without our prior written permission. Personal, non-commercial use (for example, sharing a link to the site) is permitted.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MedBridge's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Programme is limited to the total Programme fee paid by you for that Programme.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any other liability that cannot be lawfully excluded.
Our processing of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Armenia. Subject to the next paragraph, disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Yerevan, Armenia.
If you are a consumer habitually resident in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, nothing in these Terms deprives you of the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of habitual residence or of your right to bring proceedings before the courts of that country.
EU online dispute resolution. The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not, however, obliged to participate in dispute resolution before a consumer arbitration board.
Formal notices to MedBridge must be sent to info@medbridge.am and to our registered postal address. Notices to you will be sent to the email address you provided on the application form. Notices are deemed received on the next business day after sending.
You may not transfer your place in the Programme to another person. MedBridge may assign these Terms in connection with a corporate reorganisation, on prior notice to you.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. Together with the Privacy Policy and your signed Programme Agreement, these Terms set out the entire agreement between you and MedBridge in relation to the Programme and supersede any prior understandings.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The «Effective date» and «Version» at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated by email to active applicants and participants.
